I've had same issues with WIN7 and Outlook for over 1 week, ever since COX required changes to the settings. Previous to that I've used Outlook successfully for more than 20 years.
I have made all necessary setting changes, and tried every variation of settings. Outgoing email still does not work. with an error stating
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
"Name@server.com" on date, time
550 5.1.1 relaying not allowed.
Whatever this means
Numerous Online Chat and Phone tech support. calls could not resolve the issue. Today tech support told me
that I need to contact Microsoft Outlook and explain the problem to them as it is not a COX issue.
This is definitely a COX issue. No where on COX's website do they acknowledge the issue or state there is a problem and. Turns out this same issue is happening to other 3rd email providers that COX says they support.
I was so frustrated I talked to the business office and requested that they reduce my bill for the time I've spent trying to resolve this issue. There is still no resolution in sight.
