Outage for close to a week now

I don't understand what could be taking this long to clear up an outage, or at least give a date on when this will be fixed.

I have not been able to get on this week, the internet has been down since Tuesday. I was told it would be fixed today but it's been down the whole day, and the site still lists no estimated time. 

The last time I saw a technician out in the area was on Tuesday when all the issues began, but since then I have yet to see any technicians out here despite the reassurance that it's being worked on for close to a week now.
