It's because both games are hosted on AWS. Your only fix will be switching to CenturyLink. If a forum admin claims you have packet loss to your modem, they're more than likely lying.

We do the absolute best we can to provide the best service possible to our residential customers. If the modem does not exhibit any packet loss, and packet loss does not occur on the Cox Network, then this is outside the scope of our troubleshooting.
