Lag in online multiplayer games

Been having issues with online games lately (other internet apps seem fine like normal web browsing, streaming video, etc.), but games where latency and packetloss are really noticeable I can see lots of lag.

Checking my cable modem logs (Motorola MB8600) I see the following warnings pretty regularly

  11:33:27
Sun Jan 19 2020
  Warning (5)   RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW;CM-MAC=00:40:36:4c:e4:45;CMTS-MAC=00:42:5a:9e:2e:3c;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;

Also in regards to my connection status on my cable modem, this is the following onfo:

    I've seen a lot worse. Did you put your console IP into DHCP reserve and then add it to the DMZ to get NAT open? I'd suggest an ASUS 88 Router as it still knocks down all IPS attacks even with the console in the DMZ. Helped me a bunch with COD.

      I have port forwarding on for my PC that I game on.  Do you know if the warnings I'm getting in my logs are normal?  I'm getting those pretty regularly (around every 5 minutes).
