It looks like I have 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz from my modem. Which one should I be using for optimum reception?

2.4 GHz or 5 GHz which should I use for my modem?

won't the device/s auto-select the best of the 2 choices?

    I thinks that's beam-forming or Spread-Spectrum or Adaptive Frequency Hopping...and a Cox router wouldn't include this technology.  I read Google WiFi routers have it.

        Having a client auto-select the best frequency would require some type of adaptive technology.  "I don't like this frequency, so move to another."  Bluetooth and client NIC support it...but I don't think a Cox router would.  Maybe.
