Intermittent Internet Drops

I live in West Phoenix and have been having intermittent Internet drops for the past 4 days. I did get a few messages saying service was down but then it was fixed and today it's dropped 2 times since this morning. I work from home so this is not good.  Of course if you call them you get someone from India who doesn't know anything. This is very frustrating especially since I pay $250 a month for basic cable and internet service through Cox.  I need this fixed ASAP. Anyone else experiencing the same issues?
