how do I hook up my TIVO box to my new Contour 2 non dvr box ?

I don't believe that a Tivo is supposed to be connected to a cable box.

I thought Tivo was the original alternative to a cable-box.

    Found it - The TiVo EDGE for Cable, TiVo BOLT+, TiVo BOLT VOX 1TB v2 DVRs and TiVo Roamio Pro/Plus DVRs are intended for use with digital cable systems only and do not work with external cable boxes, analog cable, or over-the-air antennas.

      Translation:  cable-TV subscription, yes...cable-box, no.

        I wouldn't use a tivo, they require a cable card and there are MANY people with issues using devices with cable cards.

    The series 2 was the only box that used a external cable box all newer TiVo’s use cable cards and possibly Tuning adapters

      series 2

      Doesn't the series 2 only accept analog signal? Nevermind that the signal is also encrypted.

      BTW, I assume this was posted in Internet by accident?
