COX's network problems

Just spent (wasted) over two hours researching numerous things on our end (in Phoenix area), and working with senior tech support at our domain and email server hosting provider (located in Louisiana).  We are unable to access any of our email accounts at our remote server, either via local email clients (Windows Outlook or Mac Mail) or via web browser access.  But, can access other of our email accounts at Gmail, which is on different servers at a different location, of course.  After doing various TraceRoutes and other network diagnostics, you can see that COX is not correctly routing some of their network traffic, in this case between Phoenix and Louisiana.

COX is currently having a LOT of network traffic management issues, being reported by folks around the country, especially in the SW US region.  For a good visual representation, see the national map at:

Hello, thank you for reaching out to us in the Cox forums. Cox cannot confirm the accuracy of Down Detector, as it is a third-party website that we do not contribute information to. Are you referring to Cox email addresses? In other words, are you having difficulties using Cox email addresses on your local email clients?

If so, are you able to send and receive emails using our WebMail server on the Cox website? -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator
