block delivery and read receipts from being sent by server - prior response was incorrect

The response provided by Alan a month ago to uncheck the “show requests for read receipts” box was incorrect. checking or unchecking the box does not prevent read or delivery receipts from being sent...

Hi Diane, so I understand the issue correctly, is this happening with Cox WebMail or are you using a Client server such as Outlook, Apple, Thunderbird, etc.? In the Cox WebMail settings, the display of the Inbox can be changed to reflect showing requests for read receipts. Here is some additional information:
