I'm in Omaha, NE. I'm on the 500 plan and only get 10 up. Everything around us is buried. The main "pedastal" is the corner of my neighbor's yard, right at our property line. A few years back, when we were having issues, Cox put a new box on our house, ran a new coax from the pedastal to our house (underground - a challenge). Total length of run to the box is about 25 feet. Cable and connections at our house are clean and tight. No splitters or amps. Single feed from the box to the modem, with one connector in the path.
Maybe ask your neighbor if they are having problems? If so probably a issue with the pedestal. Either way, I suggest a technician. My gut it still saying it's water damage of some type but I could be wrong since I have no rational reason to think that. Let us know how it goes. Good luck.

I checked with the neighbor that has the pedestal, but he isn't on top of his modem performance.
Just "for grins" I chatted with an agent this morning. The individual clearly didn't understand what I was driving at, asking questions about passwords and whether I can get to any sites. However, in the process he reset my modem twice (without telling me in advance - fortunately chat now reconnects) and for some reason, everything went back to working normally. Errors are sitting at 0 again like they were a week ago. Now, why did his reset work differently than when I did it? Mysteries abound. . . I did get the following message in chat during the process - "The system has successfully moved the new equipment to an active occurrence on the account."
So, back to observing.

Sounds like they re-provisioned your modem and that somehow fixed the problem. However I have a feeling the problem will come back. Hope I am wrong.

Issue came back. Don't tell Darkatt but when the agent suggested sending a tech, I said hold up until I get a modem and see if the issue goes away. Picked up an Arris SB8200 (which is what I wanted to buy in the first place but Best Buy was out) and so far everything is looking good. It might be that my Motorola did croak after 3 years (which is ridiculously early, but possible). I'm observing and will report back.
