I cleared all site data and closed the browser. When I signed back into Contour with Chrome, I still had a channel with no audio when SAP is OFF and and another channel with Spanish audio when SAP is OFF. Toggling SAP ON resulted in Englsh for both channels. It appears there are still some audio issue.
Until recently the channel with no audio with SAP OFF had English audio. That is an entirely new issue. The channel that now has Spanish audio with SAP OFF had no audio with SAP OFF before, but English with SAP ON. So, for that channel, no audio with SAP OFF was replaced with Spanish.
Hi Curt, I've been able to replicate the SAP issue on one channel on watchtv.cox.com. I found the SAP setting already enabled when I tuned to channel 34 (NBCSP). With SAP enabled, the audio was in English. If I disable SAP, I lose audio. What channel(s) in your lineup have no audio until you enable SAP? What channel(s) in your lineup play Spanish audio when SAP is OFF? It seems that our video engineers only investigated and resolved the audio dropout issue. We need to gather as much data as possible so we can escalate SAP-related audio issues. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
Becky, you're in a different market so your channels are different than mine. I'm not familiar with NBCSP, but could it be a Spanish language channel (NBCSPanish)? If it is a Spanish language channel, would English be the proper language when SAP is ON? But, that wouldn't explain no audio when SAP is OFF.
In my market, if whatever Fox Sports Southwest (27/1027) is broadcasting has a Spanish language broadcast (like baseball games), the audio will be in Spanish when SAP is OFF. To get English, SAP must be toggled ON. Please contact the video engineers and ask them to swap the SAP settings for this channel. I'm not aware of any other channels with Spanish audio when SAP is OFF, but there could be others that just didn't have a Spanish broadcast when I checked. I'm currently not aware of any channels with no audio, but things tend to change.
