Cox throttles directv

I cannot stream movies or download them at a reasonable time frame. I can only surmise that cox restricts this since I have speeds in excess of 40 Mbps measured by speediest. I can stream video from other providers without a problem so it's cox preventing me from using Diecttv

    This has come up a few times on the forum, and from what I have found is DirectTV throttles the connection itself. They just don't have very fast servers. I think I heard the number 1-2Mbps is the norm. Maybe try on a different ISP and see if faster? Like at work of a Wifi hotspot? Also check out this guide.

    I find it hard to imagine ONLY DirectTV would be throttled, have you checked some info from them and tried to run trace routes to their servers?
