Stop button

Not sure if there has been any change to prior responses but I wanted to know how to "Stop" a recording in progress and keep what has been already recorded.  

I set Contour to record the PGA golf tournament today at around 2:30 pm. It was scheduled to end at 4:30 pm.  When I got home at 4:45 pm it was still recording for another 1 hour. I tried to stop the recording without deleting it but could not figure out how to do that. 

Any help?
