Hitron Coda56 Firmware version
Hi all -- I've been playing whack-a-modem lately. Cox tech recommended I try a different modem than my Motorola B12 so I bought a Arris S33 but that one shuts itself down after about 20 mins of uptime so it's going back to the store.
So, third try -- I picked up a Coda56 and it's working so far but I can't access the web interface. Hitron says "The ability to access Hitron’s CODA56 GUI requires firmware version 7.3.5.0.1b2 or higher. This firmware is only available from your ISP"
So my question is what firmware does Cox provide for the Hitron Coda56? Can I expect it to update eventually so that I can access the web interface?
Thanks!

Hello. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your internet service. Firmware updates from Cox are only pushed out on gateways that are being rented from us. We do not provide firmware updates for 3rd party bought modems. I do apologize. I would recommend going to the manufacturer's website for any firmware updates they may offer.

Firmwares are pushed out by Docsis Engineering automatically, once they are approved. Call cox tech support, and request to be escalated to CAG. They can see if you are running the latest Cox approved firmware.
Just because Hitron says their latest firmware is XYZ, doesn't mean it's passed testing by Cox's Docsis Engineering.
