Provider pop ups

I need advice asap in regards to the pop ups on cox cable internet provider that are directly related to Cox Communications. It disables my internet service and tells me I have a serious virus when I don't.  Any ideas

Try AdBlock. Also, what browser do you have? It may have built in ad-ons to block the ad script. IE I use Chrome and ScriptBlock.

BTW, where was this pop up? Could you include a screenshot? The best fix would be for Cox to take the ad down period, and if its the one I am thinking, they have been having the issue for years. ::Edit:: Actually, looks like they use google's AdSense now, which is a improvement.

Do you happen to have a screen shot or if its a browser pop up the URL it is sending you to that we can look into it further?
