Carefully .... no really, how do you access your e-mail. Are they all in your inbox?
If you use webmail, select Enhanced Webmail. When you get to your inbox check the select box on the left side of the title line above the mail list. This should select all mail in the inbox then click delete.
If you use a client like Thunderbird, you can use Edit/Select/All to select all mail then delete.

Hey Rob W,
There is no option to delete all 40,000 at once. Are you using or website? If so, are you using Classic or Enhanced. If Classic, there is a radio you can select on the left hand side above the messages to select all on that page to delete at once. It's about 10 per page. If you log into the site using enhanced instead you'd have an option to delete more at a time using that radio button. I only have 11 emails in my inbox so I can not say exactly how many you can do with that one. There is no option to go to another page like Classic so it may be easier.

Shariel, the largest folder in my account contains 134 messages. I am able to select all 134 using the check box on the top line. I can't determine the limit either but it's greater than 134.
