I have been using my ROKU with the WatchESPN app to watch the SEC Network. I subscribe to this channel and can watch it on mhy cable box. Today when I tried to watch a game on SEC+ on the WatchESPN app I got an error message that I did not subscribe to this channel. I deleted the WatchESPN app and then reinstalled it. I logged into my Cox account and activated the channel. I still cannot access any SEC network channel on the WatchESPN app, but I do get all of the other channels such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3.
I also tried to use the WatchESPN app on my Windows 8 computer and I get the same error for the SEC network "User not Authorized", so I don't think the problem is with my ROKU or the computer.
From reading this forum and others it seems that my problem is tied to my ACCOUNT and that my ACCOUNT needs to be reset. Can you help with this? If you need me to send you my Cox login and password so you can replicate this I will do so.
Thanks,
Bob

First, as suddenly as my problem appeared it has now resolved. Listed below is an answer to your question as well as a description of the problem that I had. This might be helpful to others:
Yes, I meet the requirements for using WatchESPN / SEC Network. I have been subscribing to the Sports Package that includes the SEC network and have been able to watch events on the WatchESPN app since the SEC network debuted in the fall of 2014.
All of a sudden, with no change in equipment (Roku) or my Cox account I am locked out of the SEC Network on the WatchESPN app. It doesn't matter what device I use (my phone, computer, Roku), my user ID locks me out of the SEC Network on the WatchESPN app. I can still watch the SEC Network Channels on my cable box.
I believe that the problem is related to my USER ID not being able to validate the authorization request from ESPN. Several other friends were in the same situation, although others worked fine.
Once again, my personal situation has resolved.
