Every few weeks my internet connection is lost. I am wondering if there is a way I can remotely reset the modem to restore the connection without going home and physically doing this. Right now I have to call Cox and have them do it. They usually want me to be at the property anyway. It would save me a lot of time and trouble if I could just do it myself remotely.

First, what kind of modem do you have? Some have the ability to reboot via its 192.168.100.1 UI and some don't.
Second, when you say the connection is lost, do you mean the modem is offline or just the people onsite cant get online? You might be able to enable remote access on your router if that connection is still present (and its a IP issue) and reset the router.
Other then that I can't find any online tool to force a reset. Found one for cable boxes, but not modems. Maybe set up some kind of electrical timer to proactively reset the modem at 2AM once a week? Or if you give details on the problem, we might be able to figure out why its happening in the first place.
