Internet connection keeps dropping

Had Cox 50mbps internet for a week now. The speed is right, but the connection drops out multiple times daily. I am using the Cisco modem they gave me from the Cox store, wired straight to my desktop.

(Cisco Model DPQ3212 I think)

We have the cable, internet, phone bundle with everything plugged in.

 I dont really know where to start on how to fix this issue.

Any help is appreciated.

A couple months ago we had problem with internet dropping and we call cox and they send a tech to resolve our issue and he reach a decision that the problem is with our modem  and we had to buy a new modem (ARRIS), off course we had to pay $70 for a cheap product, but the problem was never resolved. and when we called cox again , now this time we were told that we need a new Router. we have almost new Netgear N600.

Please help to find out what is the problem . our WiFi keep dropping calls and the same with wireless internet connections

The signal levels to the modem appear to be normal, though they are not all bonding that would only effect the speed not the connection randomly dropping. With the connection dropping are you seeing any of the lights change on the front of the modem when it happens?

@zzgloo

I looked from this end and all appears to be well with the modem.  I'd suggest testing without the router for a little bit to see if the Internet connection itself is stable so that we can hopefully understand better what may be going on.

From what I can tell, there is usually no change of lights on the modem. I will keep my eye on it.

The modem is actually the Cisco DPQ3212
