Encore 2
What are the basic differences between the Encore 1 box and the newer Encore 2 box? Mine was recently swapped out but the technician was not very knowledgeable so there are some unanswered questions.
For example, there is no way (that I can find) to "manage your series" as there was in the Encore 1 system. Encore 2 provides the actual scheduled recordings but not in a list form. The only list available seems to be the one that allows you to change the priority of the of the series but no other aspect of the series.
In some ways the new box is an improvement, but the management of the scheduled recordings seems to be cumbersome at best.

what is this Encore you speak of Cox uses Contour and Contour 2.

Pretty sure he just meant Contour, not Encore.

I mistakenly (as was pointed out over and over) used the term "Encore" when I meant "Contour". Although, I think it was perfectly clear what the question was. So snarky remarks are not appropriate answers, but I would like a real answer. And, by the way, I'm a she - not a he.

You can find more information about Contour 2 at the following website: http://bit.ly/1VkAbZK. To access the series manager, press the Contour/Menu button and scroll over to Saved > Select Scheduled > from this list you choose the recording that you wish to modify then select Options. From here you should be able to modify the selected program or the series.
