DS Channel won't go steady blue, just flashes - intermittent connection - assistance requested
I thought I would reach out to the forums:
My Netgear C6300BD; the DS channel won't go steady blue, just continues to flash. Called support stated that it was not normal, and I should have it replaced. I replaced it. Same issue. Called back and Tech 2 couldn't fix it with a reprovision. Scheduled a tech visit.
I have had a tech visit. That tech visit said the line was super clean and was not anything home or cable related. He then called the tech department (in MO or GA?) and they don't know how to fix it. All they said was they would escalate it. Could not get a ticket # as this department only communicates with the tech, not customers.
I thought I would reach out to the forums to see if anyone has encountered this and if so, what was the fix or solution? Please let me know if I can provide you any other info.

I have spent the last week with the same problem and the same symptoms, except that in my case the downstream light links, but the upstream never gets a channel and continues blinking. At first a modem reboot would fix it, but after a couple of days that didn't work either. Replaced the modem, it didn't fix the problem. Cox sent out a tech who told me my signal was great, but couldn't find anything wrong. Of course, my connection was working when the tech was here and died again 20 minutes later.
It has been more stable for going on 2 days now, so maybe it's stabilizing.

From this end the modem appears to be otherwise healthy and functioning correctly. I'm not exactly sure what this light is supposed to be indicating but it may be a non-issue. Are you experiencing any problems otherwise with the connection?

Yes an intermittent connection. I was told a flashing Blue indicates its either trying to establish bonding channels or download the data.

I'm guessing then this must be a very intermittent issue as how every time I look I can't seem to catch it doing what you're saying. If you're seeing drops in the connection when this happens it may be time to have a tech take a look for a signal or equipment problem.

The last couple days has been good with no drops. As I stated in my OP, tech was already on-site and found a clean signal from the d-mark to my house. Gateway was replaced twice. Tech support cannot figure out why the modem won't hold a steady DS signal.
If the issues come back, I can re-escalate at that time. For now, connection is stable.
