Can't get NBA on ESPN

Is this correct? I've paid Cox $1,800 over the past three years and they won't let me have access to their ESPN streaming content? Do I have to get an obnoxious flying cox bundle or something?

From all the reviews I've read Cox TV is horrid and it doesn't have the NFL content I want so I'm not getting it. The customer service for DirecTV has been 1000 percent better(this is not hyperbole) than I've had with Cox Internet (40 minute waiting time!) so I'm just not interested.

But I am a Cox Broadband customer (for now -- that might change VERY soon now that AT&T is in our neighborhood). And the ESPN streaming content is available to select TV and BROADBAND customers. Yet Cox apparently won't let me have it.

It's been problem after problem after problem and unanswered email after unanswered email with Cox. I fall behind a month on a bill and I get an uber-aggressive shutoff with a $20 fee. I've been too lazy to switch, but denying me content on ESPN even though I've been a customer for three years might just be the motivator.

ESPN actually has two different online streaming options available to Cox subscribers.  ESPN3 is the original offering that simply requires an Internet subscription to access.  Content on WatchESPN however requires and Internet subscriptions as well as Advanced TV in order to view.
