Is there a way to disable call waiting so it will not beep during a call?

To disable call waiting before a call, dial *70, wait for the confirmation tone, then dial.

If you want to disable Call Waiting, lift the handset and listen for the dial tone, then press *38. You should hear three confirmation tones. Call Waiting is now disabled. Your calls will not be interrupted by the Call Waiting tone. New callers will hear a busy signal until you turn on Call Waiting.
If you want to turn Call Waiting back on: Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone; Press *37; Listen for three confirmation tones.
