Authorized People
When my fiance called to get information on our account they wouldnt allow her to do much of anything with my account. She wasnt authorized to make a payment on my account or anything because she wasnt on the account. How can I add her to it so she can do what needs to be done. I work a lot so it is a lot more convenient for her to take care of the bills but if they wont let her do it because its my account and she is nowhere on it that doesnt help. How can I change it?

Hi AMNWright,
When it is convenient for you, call your local Cox office (the number can be found on your monthly statement.) You will need to know the Cox PIN number when you call. The PIN is located in the upper right-hand corner of page 1 of your monthly statement. Tell the customer service representative that you would like to add an authorized user to your account and then give him/her the PIN number.
When your fiance calls for any reason in the future, she will be authorized on the account and will simply need to know the PIN number for access to the account. You can change the PIN number at any time, if you like. You can do it online or whenever you call Tech Support or Account Services.
Thanks for your question! - Becky

You can also add an authorized user via Cox.com. Check out our article on Adding an Authorized User.
