Picture time out
I would’ve replied to the correct thread (https://forums.cox.com/discussions/tv/picture-time-out/37058), but apparently they don’t want anymore discussion about this. So, I’m starting a new thread. I understand SDV, I understand saving the planet by conserving energy and I also understand lower overhead in the name of bigger profit. The last piece is the true root of the problem. It shouldn’t matter why I want a single channel on for more than 6 hours. Link cox.net mailbox in Yahoo
I was able to transition my cox.net account to Yahoo. I already have a yahoo mail account - lets call it xyz@yahoo.com Yahoo allows linking mailboxes to have a unified inbox. This is not working with my cox.net account 1. If I choose "yahoo" service provider option it says cox.net is not a valid yahoo email address 🤪 2. I cannot choose the "other" option as Cox servers no longer connect 😬 This is really messed up 😠 How to get this to work. Surely there is an underlying yahoo domain to the cox.net domain ?? I've been trying to move my payment date as I have hit some rough times (blown car transmission) and my bill will be paid late. Every time I try to do this, I just get a message that says "Sorry something went wrong. Please try again or contact us." I've tried to do this on the app and two different internet browsers but still no dice. I reached out via chat and no one could tell me any specifics, but they did try to sell me more services. I just need to know how long it is, typically, before I potentially run into disconnection. Also, how do you apply for a payment arrangement? I just went to the mail.yahoo.com address that's been given and typed in my 5 letter email prefix and then Cox.net like I've was told to do by the instructions. It returned a message that, "Sorry, we don't recognize this email." What do I do now?77Views0likes1CommentTuning Adapters – Cox San Diego
A+ …Thank you, Cox! The new TAs are up and running and all seems fine. My good luck to get a Tech who knew exactly what he was doing and we installed both TAs in about 20 minutes. “Leave the USB cable off for 24 hours, then reboot. Call me if there’s a problem” 24 hours later I hooked up the USB and the Tivo complained about the tuning adapter; rebooted the TA (about 1 min) and then all was fine, the sub-channels of HBO and ShowTime now work and everything is fine. The path to obtain the TAs had a few ups and downs. The CHAT agent wanted to upgrade my internet speed or else the TAs wouldn’t work; when asked for just the TAs please, said to go to the Cox store. The Cox store rep said the store didn’t have nor expect to have the TAs, but gave me a good number to call at tech support to order the TAs. Received an appointment for just a few days later. Contacted customer service 11/2023 about my promo ending 02/09/2024, plus we were moving so needed to transfer service as well. I asked how much of an increase I was looking at once the promo expired and if it was outrageous, I’d need to cancel service. I was told the increase was not much more as I was “eligible for a promo rate”…I would pay $120.25, I asked about my security system and was told it will all remain the same and my bill will be $120.25. My bill went up to $237.61 in March of this year. I’ve called, I’ve chatted etc etc and NO ONE will honor their agreement. I also was told my installation would be free, I paid $100 instead and another charge for extra equipment. I’m attaching the transcript as evidence since literally NO ONE at Cox will acknowledge the blatant lies and misinformation. How they get away with this is insane!40Views0likes4Comments
