Streaming to YouTube is intermittently working
I stream daily one or two times a day. In the past week or so it's been getting really bad to the point where today I had to cancel the stream after not being able to get it going at all. I have 300/30 from Cox, I just reset my model 20 minutes ago and reset my computer and this was my speedtest that I just did. https://imgur.com/h4BQChC Here are the upload speeds for my modem. https://imgur.com/5qJwqIw I am using OBS and I just downloaded Streamlabs OBS and they both are choppy as hell, I tried streaming from my laptop and that was also impossible to stream from. Router is a Ubiquiti Edge Lite and I have no issues with it. Cox is coming out tomorrow to check my signal which I'm sure will be fine, obviously, the issues happen during 8-10 my time in Arizona and I don't really stream any other time. Has anyone else had similar issues at all? My other internet works fine and I'm at a loss for what to do next. I reset the computer, close down OBS and check for open tasks and shut them when they are there, I have reset my model and still had issues and this is going to affect my revenue which isn't a lot but its my living. Any help would be appreciated.333Views1like0CommentsCox not allowing me to stream on Twitch.
So I’ve talked to Twitch and Streamlabs obs and they’re both saying my ISP is throttling my rates when I try to stream. I’m getting my speeds, yet when I connect to twitch I don’t get more than 3000 kbps when I’m paying for 30 Mbs upload. I’m tired of cox. I’m an affiliate on twitch and if I have to I will move to get better internet because I’m just so tired of not being helped. I’ve been dealing with this for over 5 months and I've had MULTIPLE techs come out. I just want someone to actually help me I do not know what else to do and I am so frustrated1.2KViews0likes1CommentPoor Internet Quality
Cox: I've repeatedly had Cox come out to test my internet and supposedly everything is good. I continue to have streaming video issues which point to Cox; even after re-booting everything. Netflix: low quality picture. Like I've been downgraded to a lower stream rate Hulu: low quality picture. Amazon Prime: Every couple of minutes, the video pauses and/or the sound cuts out for @ 1 second. I have the 50Mb/s service and speed tests confirm at least 25Mb/s so not sure what the issue is. Everyone keeps pointing the finger at the other person which is frustrating. This has been going on for years but is getting more annoying as we watch more streaming shows. ok so i have a pretty decent desktop 12 gigs of memory, it is amd-a8-5500 apu with radeon 7300 series, up to date drivers. i typically use google chrome and have windows 8.1. when i try to stream video from some websites i get stuck in a buffering loop...it is not ALL websites, like cbs runs fine, starz typically runs fine...show time runs fine about 60 percent of the time. hulu and hbo.com will usually run fine for about 25% of a show and then i get stuck in a buffering loop. my game runs fine. i typically get between 15 and 30 mpbs of dl speed depending on what time of day it is...my upload speed is usually 6-12 mpbs....i have cleared cache of both the history and the flash variety...i have tried to use firefox and ie to stream to see if it makes a difference and it does not. i can find not evidence that any one thing is the culprit and i dont think its my windows 8.1 because i got my puter in september and the streaming problem did not start until the end of january or early february...i did reset to factory settings a few weeks ago to see if an update was the culprit, but to no avail. does anyone have any other suggestions?....i can download the shows i am watching and watch them just fine, but id rather stream directly from the channels if i can...i watch the shows for work purposes (i know, punish me)...and it is just easier for me to do this from my computer rather than dvr because of the way my tv is set up....that is really zoe's domain anyways. any suggestion out side of the normal...clear your cache and make sure no other programs are running, and you dont have a virus type stuff would be appreciated. ..also, i am hard wired in to my router...and it does not matter what time of day it is.....it also doesnt matter what time of month it is,so if cox throttles down after the 250 gig data cap (for unlimited internet *rolls eyes slightly*)....which i do apparently seem to hit sometimes as i work from home via a linux based system...... -- eveninthedarkness...allthecolorscanbefound5.3KViews0likes3Comments
