Contour 2 search
With the Contour 2 voice search is too limited for my two hobbies, bowling and sailing. A search for bowling brings up a movie by that name and nothing else even though I know there are bowling broadcasts in the guide. A voice search for sailing brings up the song by Christopher Cross and nothing else also knowing there are shows in the guide located by other means.1.4KViews0likes2Commentscannot search in Cox Webmail
Login to Cox Webmail. See my inbox Try to search for all emails in search bar by particular sender ( in this case Amazon) type hit enter, nothing. Close out, clear caches, try again, nothing. What the #@$#%%^$% gives with the new Cox WebMail? Why can't I search my emails?1.3KViews0likes1CommentReturned
I want to find out about items that are returned. If I returned a cox modem but lost the receipt to show as a proof to cox that I returned the item, is there another way cox can search the item being returned? I have been informing the cox that I returned the modem when to a cox store here in Fayetteville, AR but still I am being charged for the returned modem. I was told by email that they would do a search or do an investigation on it but I am still being bill for the returned item.2.1KViews0likes1CommentIs there an easy way to skip all the channels not subscribed to?
It seems too time consuming to tune into each channel, make a note of those you can't see (wait for the message, click A, then tune next), then go to the guide's "skip list" feature and manually select those you can't tune in. If you search for a program, and it is scheduled on a channel you're not subscribed to, Contour allows you to schedule it (evenfor series), tunes to that channel, then lists it to the "missed recordings". Is there a way to search so that the results are only for the channels I subscribe to? Or for results to only include the channels not skipped for the User currently selected? Getting tired of having to scroll through all the pay channels to find the few channels in results list that I subscribe to. Thanks in advance.....2KViews0likes1CommentGuide keyword search no longer honoring Sort settings
I noticed a recent upgrade to the DVR firmware, which made changes to the TV guide search features. They look nice; unfortunately, I'm having issues. I have a list of Skipped Channels set up, which includes mostly channels I'm not subscribed to (which are a waste of time seeing in the listings) and others I don't want to see. Before, I could go to the guide, press Sort, select one of the Custom options and set it up to hide skipped and blocked channels, choose Use Always, and my preferences would be permanent. When I did a keyword search, only my preferred channels would show in the search results as well. This is not working in the search operations anymore. Not only do the results show *all* channels regardless of my settings under the Sort button, but it loses my "use always" preference in the normal TV guide grid every time I do a search, meaning I have to go back and select Use Always (despite the name) every single time. Search is now unusable because I have to scroll through page after page of irrelevant channels and shows I won't be able to view anyway. Power cycling/rebooting the box had no effect on the issue.
