Server unavailable issues
When trying to schedule a recording on the DVR using Cox connect, I get the message which in part reads "server unavailable" and asks that I try again later. In an attempt to reduce my cable bill from nearly $300 a month, I recently downgraded from a DVR that could record 6 programs to one that records 2 as well as downgrading my Wi-Fi speed, if those things mattered. I've reset my modem and router to no avail.2.8KViews0likes4CommentsRemote DVR Recording - View list of scheduled recordings?
[Back story - I live on the East Coast and I'm trying to schedule my elderly father's DVR, which is located on the West Coast, as he finds the whole DVR process too confusing, but doesn't want to miss his Navy football games.] I see I can program the DVR remotely, but can I also view the list of scheduled recordings remotely? Also, is it possible to cancel scheduled recordings remotely. Right now, when using the remote DVR recording app and/or website, it seems like I'm unable to tell even if I've accidentally scheduled the same program to record on both tuners at the same time. If I'm not currently able to remotely manage DVR storage space (beyond scheduling a program to record), will Cox be providing more DVR management features some time in the near future for the convenience of the customer (and in order to remain competitive with other cable companies that do already provide these features?)3.4KViews0likes1Comment
