Arris SB6190 Cable Modem - RCS Partial Service and SYNC Time Sync Failure (100% Packet Loss)
I've gone through 3 cable modems, 3 wireless routers, and a handful of ethernet cables thinking it was a problem with my hardware. I've blocked every other device on the network for troubleshooting this. It's just my PC on it, hardwired in. The internet works without issues for about 90-120seconds at a time, then there's a 30 second period where I get 100% packet loss on everything. I can't get on any websites, I get disconnected from any games I'm running, etc. Then after 30 seconds, everything reconnects okay. I've rebooted all of my devices three times. I've called Cox and they said everything is testing fine. There's no Cox maintenance in the area and no outages. No construction in the vicinity. Is there anything I could do to diagnose this? Can I buy anything to test the coax drop in the wall or something? https://www.docdroid.net/tJH6C5a/event-log.pdf.html screenshots of the Event Log from the modem page https://www.docdroid.net/RFmVJY2/status.pdf.html screenshots of the Status page but I don't know what any of this means12KViews0likes11CommentsInternet lag spikes- Hardwired and wifi.
Hello experts, I currently am experiencing a lot of ping related issues especially in regards to games. I've reset the router by both the reset button and sending signal. I've replaced all the connection wires and even the splitter, and turned off and on it without resetting. I also have done port forwarding and none of this seems to be working. Please see the examples below. All with only one PC connected. - Pinging google.com over 15 iterations excluding the packets for space conservation No games up: Ping statistics for 216.58.217.206: Packets: Sent = 15, Received = 15, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 19ms, Maximum = 23ms, Average = 21ms 1 Game up mid game: Ping statistics for 216.58.193.206: Packets: Sent = 15, Received = 15, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 286ms, Maximum = 344ms, Average = 314ms Any thoughts? Again this is wired connection however wireless acts similar. When connected to my hotspot I have no spikes so it leads me to believe its something to do with cox and or the modem.3.1KViews0likes4CommentsBlocking online games
I have been using Cox cable internet for 3 months and playing World of Warcraft and War Thunders without any problems. Suddenly last Saturday I could no longer connect to the game servers. I get on the internet OK but the games will not connect. I have reset the modem, flushed the DNS, shut off the firewall, turned off the antivirus software. Nothing seems to help. When I ping the server or do a path trace it never gets to the router. I need help please2.2KViews0likes1CommentPacket loss from Tustin1.Level3.net plz open a ticket with level3
I have new service from COX and my speed is otherwise fine, but when I log into World of Warcraft I will have 91 lat [good], 76ms [my connection to them Good] 2253ms [VERY BAD, data loss] I looked on a few forums and they suggested a Tracer, the results suggest packet loss from level3.net, this is not a COX node, so the only thing I can do is request that COX puts in a request to level3.net and have them fix their node. Hi, I'm experiencing lag and stutter during online gaming. I've Cox Preferred plan and play game over wireless connection. I've tried restarting and rebooting modem several times but the issue still remains. I also tried playing game using the LAN connection but the issue persists. I've contacted customer support twice but they have only helped me by restarting the connection again and again. For debugging purposes, I ran Speedtests (www.speedtest.net) and Pingtests (www.pingtest.net), and i figured out speed fluctuations, at times I get 63.2 Mbps and other time I get 12.2 Mbps. Also, I get 9ms, 12ms and other time 223ms and 300+ pings. These figures are from tests that I ran back to back when I started facing issues during gameplay. Please look into this issue. I've Netgear C3700 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem router and I'm using 2.4 GHz connection for wireless connection. Thanks, Gaurav K.7.9KViews0likes12Comments- 2.2KViews0likes0Comments
Internet Issues (Tucson, AZ)
My internet has been acting very strangely for the past couple of hours and I'm not sure why considering my speed test is just fine. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3887249699 My pingtest is a whole other story, it came back with awful results. http://www.pingtest.net/result/109991748.png What is happening in Tucson right now!2.2KViews0likes2CommentsInternet speed fluctuations
I've noticed that over the last few weeks my internet connection has been fluctuating wildly between approx 20 mbps and 100 mbps. Web pages sometimes load so slowly I think I'm back on an old dial up connection, and other times it's very fast. What could be causing this? Today using the cox tool it's showing a high of 125.85 mbps download speed and a low of 49 mbps. Using http://www.speedtest.net switching between different servers the speed varies from a high of 80 mbps to a low of 18 mbps. Ping times range from 21 to 28 ms.2.4KViews0likes1Comment
