Terrible packet loss while playing and streaming all video games using Gigablast
So, every since I got COX service I have had unbearable levels of packet loss. As stated above I am currently using the gigablast service which has 1000mbps down and 35mbps up speeds. The packet loss only gets worse throughout the day and I haven't had a day where my packet loss has been stable at even 1% packet loss. I have called customer support multiple times and they only send their useless technicians that claim that there are no problems in the system. Out of the 100 that have come out some have revealed that there is an issue and that the field team needs to come fix the tap outside the house. You would think this is where everything gets fixed. But no, since this is an intermittent issue they see there is no issue on their side and simply close my ticket without telling me. The logic on the side of these so called technicians is preposterous. I simply have no idea what to do with COX at this point as it has been over a month now since I first reported this issue. I really hope someone here can help me resolve this **. THINGS I HAVE DONE: Replaced modem and router changed all my lan cables factory reset my hard wired pc used cox's panoramic router modem combo PLEASE HELP ME HERE IM GETTING 3%-25% loss in the mornings until around 5 and can go up to 75% in the afternoons.8.4KViews0likes12CommentsPacket loss and connection drop - Only after 6pm
Greetings, For about two months now I've experienced signficiant packet loss and occasional disconnects, but it only ever happens after around 6PM. I can send 500 pings and get every response back earlier in the day, but every single night it starts to drop(Averaging about 2-5packets per 200 pings) This happens on my desktop, which is hardwired, as well as my XBox One, Laptop and Mobile devices over WiFi(2.4 and 5ghz) I've bought a new modem/router(Nighthawk C7000) which did not fix the issue. I have no splitters in any of my lines inside the house. I tried connecting my modem downstairs to a different coax line(which comes in completely seperate after the Cox Box outside, so I know there are no splitters somewhere in the house) and had the same issues. When it happens, all my devices can ping to the router and each other flawlessly. As soon as you ping outside it starts dropping. Call center support was unable to help, although did note an odd inability to connect to the router(even though it was online at the time.) A tech came out today, but as it was in the morning, when everything was working fine, he naturally couldn't find anything wrong. All the lines from the junction box as well as in my house were good. Here is a shot of my connection. http://imgur.com/a/FOqEW This is with a 6db attenuator. Without the attenuator my power levels range from +0-10dBmV The only thing I've been told so far is to try and schedule another tech to come out during their latest slot(5-7PM) so they can troubleshoot it while it happens.4.5KViews0likes10CommentsSevere Package Loss
Hi, Starting a few hours ago I notice my ping was unstable. I performed ping to google and notice that my speed was fine, but I had a package loss of a 50%. I tried resetting the router by pressing the reset button and also unpluging and plugging again the router. Nothing seemed to help. I saw that other user got help on the same issue by posting pingplotter captures on this post:https://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/internet-forum/17375/moderate-to-severe-packet-loss I hope i can get helped the same way, here is my pingplotter capture.4.1KViews0likes12Comments
