Upload speed randomly dropping very low
So for the past few months I have been having an issue where my upload speeds will randomly drop to almost nonexistent levels which is very frustrating because I play very latency precise games and also stream video to twitch.tv, which also happens to be a decent source of income for me. Whenever my speeds drop out my games become nigh unplayable and my stream drops a ton of frames and eventually goes offline. Originally it only happened after midnight, but it is now an issue at all times of the day. After a few months of just dealing with the unreliable speeds I called cox and the woman on the phone said our signal seemed weak so they sent out a tech. However when the tech arrived the speeds and signals looked fine and the only thing they found out of place was that the wiring into the house was going around the speedboost so he fixed that. We also went a step further and purchased a new modem from Cox for over $100 just to cover all our bases and make sure the problem was fixed. After he left the upload speeds were flawless for about two weeks before I noticed my stream dropping out again. It has now gotten to the point where I can't even stream for more than an hour before having some kind of upload issues and even when not streaming, my games have terrible upload latency. As you can imagine this is very frustrating. I have run countless speed tests over the months but here are a few of the most recent after I had the same issues today. If someone could look into this issue for me I would be very appreciative. Thanks!18KViews0likes10Comments147mbps down, 0.07 up... Literally can't earn a living.
Low upload means no file sharing or streaming. For those of us that earn our money online and did not get bailed out by the government, this is a death sentence. I am immunocompromised and can't even earn enough for my meds because this ISP keeps dropping upload rates, then points to the download and says everything is fine >:( FCC complaint filed! #gettheirwallet542Views0likes0Comments
