Multiple technicians and BBB complaint
I've had a total of 5 techs in my home and 3 line techs out. I'm being told this is a distribution problem. There is a representative i have been in communication with due to the BBB complaint. Basically going on 3 months with this issue and nothing has improved. I'm paying for COX Ultimate and intermittently i am barely able to get 10 mbps down and 5 up. Someone needs to actually fix this problem. Look at the entire issue and come to a conclusion. I just now lost connection to everything i was doing and then it immediately reconnects. I have been pressured into purchasing a new modem to the tune of $99. Nothing has improved. I've signed up for Gigablast a few months back andthe service was fineuntil last week. Every day since then, I get ridiculously low download speeds of 5-10MBS in the evening (after 6 PM) with the D/L speed picking up gradually after 11PM. Mornings or during the day, the speed is as expected (around 100MBS) All my tests were done with a couple of laptops wired directly into the modem (Arris Surfboard SB8200), no router was involved. I'm pretty sure that the modem is not the problem otherwise I'd have the same experience during the day. What could cause this? I live in a condo and I think that thewiring is split between the 4 adjacent apartments. Could it be that a neighbor (or more) has recently signed up for the Gigablast and is literally drying up the bandwidth before it gets to my place???Solved2KViews0likes9CommentsOverpaying for internet speed
