Intermittent connectivity issues
Hello, I have been having severe latency and packet loss issues over the last few months. I have submitted 5-7 tickets now to get this issue resolved. They have been to my house several times and have only noticed issues one time. This resulted in outside plant getting involved to hopefully fix my issue. I requested an update a week after they said they would fix the issue and I was told there would't be an update and I would just notice the issue get better. Fast forward a month and there has been no noticeable change. There are 0 problems with my LAN and I am very confident that the issue is within the Cox routers at this point. I have never had any packet loss or latency within my local area so please don't ask any questions about my home connection because I know its good (I'm a network engineer). I just want an engineer for Cox to look into thisif possible to try to help me out. I haveplenty of images to help my case out if possible. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1HxzV30YxHVqMjUBDpRyui97295XlSVqi?usp=sharingLink to some of my images taken over the last few months/.1KViews0likes3CommentsInternet lag spikes- Hardwired and wifi.
Hello experts, I currently am experiencing a lot of ping related issues especially in regards to games. I've reset the router by both the reset button and sending signal. I've replaced all the connection wires and even the splitter, and turned off and on it without resetting. I also have done port forwarding and none of this seems to be working. Please see the examples below. All with only one PC connected. - Pinging google.com over 15 iterations excluding the packets for space conservation No games up: Ping statistics for 216.58.217.206: Packets: Sent = 15, Received = 15, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 19ms, Maximum = 23ms, Average = 21ms 1 Game up mid game: Ping statistics for 216.58.193.206: Packets: Sent = 15, Received = 15, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 286ms, Maximum = 344ms, Average = 314ms Any thoughts? Again this is wired connection however wireless acts similar. When connected to my hotspot I have no spikes so it leads me to believe its something to do with cox and or the modem.3.1KViews0likes4Comments
