How to change Reserved IP Address in the Port Forwarding menu on the Iphone app
On Cox panoramic wifi app on iphone, I can't find out how to change the Reserved IP Address for my device. There is no text prompt to change it. Also, is there any way to port forward on the computer so I don't run into issues like this? The normal way just tells me to get the panoramic wifi app.1.5KViews0likes5CommentsTrying to reset my WAN IP address in 2021 and get a new IP
Was doing some research and found that my IP address hadn't changed in almost 30 days - very worrisome for security and privacy reasons. I'm a RESIDENTIAL subscriber, not a business subscriber so I shouldn't have a static IP assigned to me at all times. I've been trying to reset my IP address by rebooting my Internet modem - no dice. I've left it unplugged and not powered for 5-12 hours - still same IP. Did Cox suddenly stop doing Dynamic IP configs? Are all customers just static now? I tried calling technical support about this and they weren't of any help, totally incompetent. Are any Cox Communications technical support personnel able to verify or assist with my concerns? I do NOT want to retain the same public WAN IP address for any longer than 2 or 3 weeks. That's insane. Thanks in advance.2.7KViews0likes3CommentsLoss of connectivity, IPv6 only (no IPv4) and DOCSIS T3/T4 errors
Our two Win10 computers go from disconnected, IPv6 access only, IPv4 and IPv6 full access, everything ok and back again. This has been happening for several weeks. I have swapped out cable modem (NETGEAR C6300BD), NIC cards and switch in the house without impact. The ethernet interface often says: IPv4 Connectivity: No network access IPv6 Connectivity: Internet You can also see this in online forums as "only google works" as all IPv6 sites work - but there aren't many. When running diagnostics the error is "Ethernet" does not have a valid IP configuration" Not fixed. Also noticed teredo tunneling was being used to do IPv6 over IPv4 and that this is one of the least prefered methods. After reviewing cable modem event logs there are several T4 errors and some T3 errors. Therefore I believe this problem is between cable modem and Cox. I recently changed addresses and upgraded my Cox internet to the Ultimate package. Ever since then, I've been unable to access IPv4 websites through WiFi. I've tried everything from clearing my browser cache, cookies, and restarting my affected devices. The only thing that helped was resetting my router to factory settings, and that only worked for a couple of days. 1st-level Cox phone support has been of no help whatsoever. I know this is an IPv6 issue, because IPv6 sites are the only sites that I can access on my wireless devices (laptop, phone). If anyone knows how to help me resolve my issue, please let me know what you need from me. I've had no luck after 3 calls with Cox over the last 3 weeks and I'm ready to switch ISPs if I can't get this issue resolved.2.1KViews0likes1Comment
