Display only subscribed channels
I am surprised that this is not a feature yet here when it has been a feature on other providers using the same equipment (Charter Digital in Oregon and Washington) since the late 90's. I know that bean counters love the up-sale and all, I have the advanced basic package and there are 100's of channels I don't need to see since I don't get them nor want them. I know its as simple as unlocking the programming feature in the box with a simple code since there you have to request it with some packages and they just send a signal and with in a few minutes the option is available. Why can't we get this here???? Other than that I am happy with my service... If only It had this one little thing...20KViews0likes8Comments
We Want BeIN Sports USA!
BeIN Sports USA is now the exclusive broadcaster of La Liga in the US. La Liga is one of the biggest football leagues in Europe and the home of the world's most popular football teams, Barcelona and Real Madrid. These two teams face off in arguably the best rivalry game, in all of sports, the "El Classico." And yet, BeIN Sports USA is not available on Cox. I have been forced to stream these great teams from sketchy websites, like many of you may have. Cox will likely never add this channel if we fail to show our undying love for this beautiful game and our enduring passion to see it at its best. So if you love football as much as I do and you want to see it performed at the greatest stage, here are a few things you can do to let your voice be heard. First, reply to this forum. The more replies we have, the more attention we will receive. One of the other BeIN posts have been "solved" and can no longer take replies - one of the reasons I decided to make my own. This is Cox's way of quieting us. Do not let their cheap tactics stop you! Second, write your own post. What's better than one forum with a lot of replies? Multiple forums with a lot of replies. Your post does not have to be long and drawn out. Write your comment you used on a previous post if you have to. Just keep posting! Third, contact them directly. Certain channels missing on HD
So, I just received my new cable box (with Contour and so on), and I have the Advanced-package, I'd say. It's supposed to show all channels both regular and HD. Somehow I get CNN (channel 49), but no CNN HD (1049), it's missing from the guide and I can't tune into that channel. I'm also missing certain Music Choice-channels, such as (my favorite) Party Favorites (922). It just jumps over them. Very strange, I'd say. What's Happened to AMC - Las Vegas?
Problem 1: On Sunday, there was a message that channel 1052 had changed from AMCHD (Eastern feed) to AMCPHD (Pacific feed). My Tivo updated the schedule based on this, but the times the shows were actually on were still the Eastern ones. Problem 2: Problem 1 may be fixed, but I don't know. Starting Tuesday, 1052 has been black with the Tivo message, "Searching for a signal on this channel (V52)." Tried 52 (the non-HD channel). It was blank, too. Resetting the Tivo had no effect. When will AMC be back on, ideally with everything at the right times for the feed?5.1KViews0likes3Comments
TV Guide station
I have TV Essential package, yesterday we could go to station 72.1, which was the TV Guide station. Today it nothing but a blank screen. We do not have the cable box. wrong channel showing
the past few days i have been getting the wrong channels, for instance when i select channel 10 bet plays, and i could watch the fx movie last night on of about 15 different channels. i have done the reset procedure 4 times and still have issues. when the dvr is set to record shows it keeps getting errors and not recording. oh and if its "FREE ON DEMAND" why cant i watch the movies under that heading because i have to have a subscription i thought it said free.3.7KViews0likes3Comments
Some channels that are in lineup but need subscription?
I can't access some channels like Bravo TV and Syfy because they need separate subscription. I believe they're in the TV Essential channel lineup and are should be available without subscription. Unless they've now been moved to another Pak that need subscription. The on-line guide lists the wrong channel numbers, even if I log in. For example, the on-line guide says NBC is channel 4, but my TV says it's 12. [This just started fairly recently, around November 2013. The on-line guide used to list the correct numbers.]3.4KViews0likes4Comments
