Transfer account
I am moving to Texas where I don't plan on having Cox. I want to transfer the account I have in my name to my roommate (we share it anyway), however, I don't have a phone. How can I get this done? Or shall I just cancel the account and let him start a new one? I don't want him to have to pay that start-up cost when it's already working.10KViews0likes3CommentsInternet download speed
I am paying for Cox High Speed Preferred internet which states it has up to 18mbps download speed. However, I have been testing my download speed weekly for the past three months and never get above 2.9. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I use 2wire.com for my tests.4.3KViews0likes3CommentsHow do I reset network name and set a password?!
I am ready to cancel my internet service. This is ridiculous. I unplugged my router and such in order to move furniture. Now that I have plugged it back in, the network name is reset and just says "Network 2" and it is unseccured. Using the extremely NOT user friendly Cox Help site is not helping.. Thanks for any help2.7KViews0likes1CommentBogus e-mail heads up
I'm posting this more or less as a public service and to let security at Cox know that this is going on. I received the following e-mail today. I have verified that it is bogus, but since it does have its own website support at an address that could look convincing (i.e. http://coxcommunications.webs.com/) and they request e-mail replies, this could fool people. Needless to say I've had it with slow service and no service so looking into switching. I have a TON of stuff saved on my account and want to know, if I shut down my cox account for my internet can I still use my cox e-mail, or do I have to pay to keep it?16KViews0likes7Comments
