FOX NEWS - Intermittent Audio - Sound goes in and out frequently
For the last three weeks and only on FOX NEWS, the sound disappears for a second or two and comes back. This happens off and on throughout the day every few seconds to once every five minutes or more. It's disgusting and only happens when we watch Fox News, no other channels have this problem. I've been told by Cox there is no such problem from their end of transmissions and I've had technicians out and they say there's no problems. Rebooting of convertor does not help. Who else is this happening to? I'm in Cox San Diego North.Solved8.3KViews1like10CommentsContour DVR & Samsung TV have Intermittant Audio for all live, pre-recorded & Netflix shows
Have a new Contour box on a new Samsung TV connected via HDMI cable that has intermittent audio with sound dropping out for from several seconds to several minutes at a time, on all channels and all modes of viewing (live, recorded, On Demand & Netflix). Neither resetting nor replacing the Contour box has resolved the issue. Help! Signed: Missing Dish in San Diego1.2KViews1like1CommentNo audio again...but ONLY on Fox News Channel...again!
I am in the Phoenix area and this is happening again as I write this message. This audio "mystery" is becoming a common event, at least four times in the past few weeks that I'm personally aware of, and very frustrating! For extended periods of time, the audio goes out on Fox News Channel only. Audio on all other channels on my Cox Contour system work just fine! I took the time to deal with Cox support a few weeks ago. They were presumably unaware of any such problem but had me turn on all eight of my TVs throughout the house so they could remotely reboot the boxes. After 45 minutes of jumping through hoops, the rebooting was complete and all TVs had the audio restored. Unfortunately, about 90 minutes later, the audio on Fox News went out again. The only explanation offered by Cox support about why this audio issue exists only on Fox News Channel was "this must be an issue related to the Fox broadcast transmission network". I understand that technical issues happen but this is a chronic problem being experienced by MANY Cox customers in the Phoenix area that routinely watch Fox News. That must represent a lot of people; why is Cox not on top of this issue and helping to isolate and resolve this problem for a significant part of their customer base?900Views3likes5CommentsAudio cuts in/out 2 secs on 2secs off continually on channel 81 (Heroes & Icons). This ** and so does Cox fake chat help.
On Channel 81-Heroes and Icons network the audio continually cuts in and out, about 2 second on 2 seconds off. This continues for as long as I am tuned to that channel. It is not an intermittent problem. What ** even more is that there is no way to email Cox about this. Their so-calle chat help is nothing more than a bot with a bunch of canned responses to issues which have no relevance to this matter.550Views0likes2CommentsVolume Issue from Slave/Mini Box
Hello! We've been having an issue with our Volume for about 1-2 months now. It's not a major issue and it's easily fixed by simply changing the channel then turning it back to the channel we were currently watching. Don't get me wrong, it's highly annoying, specially if we've paused the program and have to change the channel to get the volume back, given we lose where we were at during the TV Show/Movie if it's something that's not been recorded... So far we've tried: -Tightening all the cables -Replaced all cables -Reset SAP(why not) -Reset Cable Boxes and Modem(thru cox.com & by unplugging, waiting 10 seconds, plugging back in) This issue is 100% random and our boxes aren't old at all... I think we changed them out within the last 6 months. Sometimes we might go a week without any issues, sometimes we have to change the channel and turn it back to get the sound back 3-4 times during one 30 minute TV show. Also I do not believe we've ever had the volume issue while using the Cox Receiver when using the streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, ect. Also, it is only an issue with 2 of 3 our Cox Receivers. This might be useless information, but receiver closest to our Panoramic Modem seems to be the receiver that this happens the most often to and the receiver is about 10ft away from the modem. The other receiver that loses volume is about 20-25ft from the modem. But the fix for both TV's are the same, change the change and pow, volumes back! I figured I'd post this issue here in case anyone else is having the same issue and Support has a way to fix this issue without having to call in to Cox to get this corrected. If anyone else has had this problem or knows the fix for this, let me know!346Views0likes1Comment
