Slower Speeds for 2 months
For the past 2 months I have been getting only HALF of what I am paying for. Was getting over 300 now getting around 150. I was even getting 360 over a year ago. I have not said anything, but it's becoming a problem when my downloads are taking several hours longer. I have the same equipment, I also noticed when I reset my router and set it up, I was getting full speed, then it goes back to half. I hate to say it, but is COX throttling my internet? I know they have access to my router. If it's something on my part I would like to fix it, but like I said nothing here has changed, just the speeds. I thought about upgrading, but why upgrade so I can pay more to get what I am supposed to get now.. It's rather aggravating when spend hundreds of dollars on routers, and modems and pay $155.00 a month and getting throttled . Please advise. Thanks...Solved2.3KViews1like6CommentsHorribly slow internet for weeks now.
It's been probably well over a month now that I've been having troubles with my internet. I'm on the gigablast plan and despite that, I still can't enjoy online gameplay almost at all. I've done everything I can to better the quality of connection but it's still so slow at the end of the day. I don't know the rules of this forum but attached is a video of just one occurrence in a game of it being atrociously slow. If anyone has any sort of solution to my problem it's welcomed. cdn.medal.tv/.../1080p-41817083.mp42KViews0likes1CommentAnyone getting gigablast speeds in Rhode Island?
Thought I'd just put this out there, in case there's anyone else in Rhode Island having issues with their gigablast service as well. I upgraded to gigablast a couple weeks back and the most I get on a wired connection is about 350 Mbps download / 37 Mbps upload. Anyone else in little Rhody getting better speeds? Here is my setup: Cox supplied Panoramic Wifi gateway Cox supplied Cat6 cable WIRED connection on a powerful laptop with a gigabit ethernet card.341Views0likes0CommentsSlow internet speeds
I have been having intermittent slow internet speeds all week. I run the speed test and see the server switches to Los Angeles from San Diego when the speeds are slow. I've reset my modem multiple times and it is only stable for a short while before getting terrible speeds again. What is going on?579Views0likes1CommentSlow Speeds + Terrible customer service
Internet only plan: Preferred 100 Internet Service - up to 100 Mbps download mLab speedtest: Network Latency: 84 msec round trip time Jitter: 47 msec Upload Speed: 7.16 (Acceptable) DOWNLOAD SPEED: 15.62 - UNACCEPTABLE I have tried numerous times to find a resolve for our ridiculous slow speed, yet not one proper customer service rep (oxymoron) has assisted me. The last conversation I had I was told that we're on a light plan and it was to be expected. Over $70 per month for a light plan? THIS IS RIDICULOUS. There are no gamers in the house, and only 2 young children that watch cartoon based shows. #Cox needs to pick up their game here.1KViews0likes1Comment
