Closed VPN and other ports
Hi! I'm trying to get my Vivint security system to connect (more specifically to be able to broadcast cameras via wifi) and our VPN will not connect or allow camera broadcasting via wireless so we can view the live stream on our mobile devices. I've had serious issues in the past year with ports and our Cox internet service. My bluehost email account will no longer load via our home internet (will everywhere else) and our old ADT security system would not work with our internet either. It worked at first, and then one day during a connectivity technical support call, it all stopped working immediately after a reset from Cox's end. We've attempted port forwarding, but I'm striking out! Cox technical support has been less than helpful, and we are quite fed up! Has anybody had a similar problem with a positive solution?1.9KViews0likes1CommentPORT FORWARDING ISSUE WITH Cisco DPQ3925C ROUTER
I have a Cisco DPQ3925C router, and I am having trouble getting port forwarding to work. I get the error: "the setting of port must between 1~65535: 0". I followed the instructions from here: http://www.cox.com/wcm/en/business/datasheet/CBIG_Admin_Guide_v6.pdf I have a static IP and port set up that I want to forward that is not on the block list. I have spent many hours trying different things, and several hours on the phone with COX, but no luck. I was told by COX that for some reason they have not removed it from the website yet. http://www.cox.com/residential/support/internet/article.cox?articleId=%7B5fdc6ad0-e2ab-11df-f802-000000000000%7D Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!4.3KViews0likes5CommentsPossible to get into netgears settings?
Serial #: 2DV323UR04201 I'm busy attempting to setup this device so I can do away with our Dlink router as much as possible, but I need to make a few modifications. I have sshd set to a specific port, as well as a few devices set to predefined ip addresses. Plus I'd rather not have to re-setup all our wpa passphrases on each device. So am I able to do so, or not? If so, how do I do so? Thanks!Solved2.4KViews0likes3CommentsHow do I get port forwarding to work on my Cisco DPC3825

Received my free ugraded modem (Cisco) last week, and installed it ( although only after 30 min on phone with support) New speeds look considerably better. However, I used to be able to access a hard drive connceted to my router via port 1025 so I could get files from my homeat mywork computer. This port now appears to be either blocked or not forwarded. How do I forward it?Solved3.4KViews0likes4Comments
