how do I get TiVo series 2 to work with a cox cisco 250hd mini box
I see many forums, but no answers and nothing since 2015. Phoenix just made everyone change to the Mini box. I have tried for hours and hours and days and days, did anyone find out the exact box to use or the a correct code? I have both the blasters and I special ir cord that goes from the TiVo to the back of the Cisco box (ir in) I have tried both with several different box names. RCA, Scientific, pace, Thomson, evolution, and a bunch of others. Someone told me to use the Explorer, which is not an option on my TiVo. I asked Tivo and they sent me some of the instructions which I read and have seen in here somewhere, tried again, and still can not find. I see Comcast has an actual Comcast DTA box on the list. (tried it also). Is there something I am missing? Can someone please help. I do not understand why TiVo cannot get the Cisco 250HD mini box in the system. Do I need a new box? Tivo Series 2 and Cox (Cisco) mini box
It appears that most forum's on this subject are locked? I have the same question, and can not find the answer. I have a Cox Mini box and a Tivo Series 2. I have hooked it up to the Tivo. I can live with the single channel record watch, but I can not get the Mini Box to slave to the Tivo. I am using a direct IR to the port on the back of the Mini Box.. I am using the Bleiden "Tivo IR to Cable/DTA Box Direct Connect Control Cable". This system reportedly works with the Evolution DTA that Comcast uses. 1) I understand that Cox has some Evolution Mini DTA's. Can I trade mine in for one of these? (The are controllable through the direct cable, no IR emitter or "blast" required. 2) Has anyone had any luck getting a Series 2 to work with the Cox Mini? If so, how? (There is no cable card slot in this Series.) 3) What can Cox do to help those of us who own our own DVR's that are caught up in this switch to digital, but were happy with what they used to have, prior to 5/17/16? Every time I try to watch my HBO and Showtime it will tell me the channel cannot be found this happens on these channels daily without watching HBO and showtime with my contour I can not watch those channels ever there are other channels that i can never watch ether. there are at least 25 channels that cannot be found by my contour box it is getting very irritating especially with for my children.2.5KViews0likes2Comments
