COX San Diego Channel 808 METV changing to CW San Diego
Why on Earth are we changing Channel 808 METV to CW San Diego? We already have a CW Channel 6, But what's more WE LOVE METV, WAY more than The CW. I know I am going to get some Smoke Screen answer. Yet it's Probably ALL About COX wanting too much money. Cox is really pushing customers to leave, SUPER hard, do they even know it? Do they care? No need to answer those. ION tv
Looking into resubscribing to cox for cable. One thing I've noticed is that some of the channels we watch fairly often will be going away. I'm talking about the ION tv digital channels. We get 4 of them ota, but it looks like cox only carries 1. We get 4 OETA channels ota, and cox offers all of them from what I noticed. I would like to request this channel for the New Orleans, LA area. I have been waiting more than a year and a half for Cox to bring this channel to their lineup and they don't do it. I don't understand why. They have it in their lineup in many many other cities and all other TV service companies in the area have it in their lineup, too (Dish Network, DirecTV). It's been over 20 year from my last cable services hookup here at the Florence Tower, services has change a little now the customers are given the chance to save money by doing their own self-sufficient converter box hookups, but it took 3 to 4 days for the services to come out an turn on all my Advance TV channels on while, and handed me a extra converter box with two extra remotes with only a HDMI output, that did nothing at all when I hook it up but I brought it back in to knock off the extra rental charges to find out it was not ever recorded on my account, sure sounds strange. I use the Favorite selection to add all the channels that are coming in from the ones that present I need a subscription. I don't know if I'm getting over 200 of my favorite channels, but some of the other residents in the building are sure kept up to date about what I'm watching on both the TV and Internet could use a security check up on the outside.2.5KViews0likes2Comments
Cisco Explorer B642HDC hung on CNF9 for (ummmm....) weeks
It will go through the reboot process on its own once or twice a day but it always hangs here. About a year ago, when I was having problems with this line (pretty sure they gave me a new box and did an unbelievable jury-rig with splitter-amps-filters to get me a signal at this one location/box) the tech who came out finally said to the person from Cox support that he was talking to on the phone that there was actually no channel lineup mapped (in the system) to my box. So while the machine was trying to download the channel guide, it wasn't finding anything to download. Could that have happened again? I have followed the directions in responses to other emails re: straight connection on power and cable (no good, no change) so I'm hoping for something else. Even a reset of the box from the local service center might help..... Further context, just in case this helps -- for the second year in a row, I am not getting ESPN game plan on any of my TVs. why can't I get all the channels on my Cox subscription channel list
I subscribe to the TV Starter channel list. I receive Channels 2 thru 13. I do not receive 18 (C-SPAN) or 22 (Kansas 22). I rescanned for channels on my Toshiba flat screen TV & checked all options - available for my TV's setup screen. Does anyone have a similar issue? Please advise and comment. When trying to change my TV service to Cox TV Economy, I was told that this would require an HD receiver to access non-HD cable channels (16-68). They included the following link for the channels available in Las Vegas: htp://ww2.cox.com/residential/lasvegas/tv/tv-economy/channel-listings.cox?campcode=rl_tv_tv_economy_pm_021312_lnk_las_6 This appears to show that an HD receiver is needed for the Economy HD channels, but not for the non-HD channels.
