Hi, since the cox outage June 8, 2021 we have not been able to access all of our channels. This is truly frustrating as we pay our bills in full every month. If this is not resolved soon I would like a credit on our bill. Please help resolve this issue.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsTV Listings Working Again!
You can now record shows from the TV Listings Cox Web page and also see the status of requested recordings. Finally after 4 days, six different chats or phone calls, and nineteen different Support Personnel contacts (I have the names but will not publish them), the TV listing to my DVR is working again. I would like to thank Eugene (in Cag Video group - not sure of spelling) for sticking with it and getting to the bottom of this. THANK YOU. Tear 1 support for "this kind of problem" is useless! AND there is no way to reach the right level without a lengthy discussion each time. Finally a kind soul gave me a ticket number (which other support personnel claimed was not necessary) which made the pain tolerable. I will admit that the personnel did their best to "keep me from blowing up". My fuse was very short. One of the personnel tried their own personal account to prove that my complaint was valid. And low and behold, she had the problem. It was Easy!!!2.4KViews0likes2CommentsCOX Contour and TV Connect Apps for Windows 10
Hi, will there be an app developed for Windows Phone 10devices in the near future? I'm assume so, since Microsoft have an universal app development framework now... Cox can develop one code base that can work across all windows 10devices. If Cox management, chief software engineer, and lead software architects haven't made a decision to go on this; maybe the business need to hire replacements.. My whole household have moved away from iOS and Android devices; and replaced all with windows 10 devices; no plans to go back...25KViews0likes4CommentsWhen will Cox upgrade their platform to be more like Direct TV??
Direct TV's platform is light years ahead of Cox's. I just switched from Direct TV to Cox and I am really missing Direct TV now. The program guide is so much better. You get a lot more information from Direct TV's program guide including icons for each show/movie and the year it was created. And there are really great features such as Smart Search and Double Play that Cox does not have. With DIRECTV Smart Search, you can search for movies, shows, sports, people, channels, and even YouTube videos on your DIRECTV HD DVR. Your DIRECTV search results will start to appear as soon as you enter the first letter of the word you're typing in the search field. Here's how to use DIRECTV Smart Search: Press theMENUbutton on your remote, then selectSearch & Browse. SelectDIRECTV Smart Search. You’ll see a letterpad, as well as suggested search items highlighting new and interesting shows and movies based on what's trending now. Use thearrow buttonson the remote to navigate the letters on the letterpad and pressSELECT, or use the number keys in the same way you would text on a mobile device. DIRECTV search results will start to appear as soon as you enter the first letter of the word you're typing in the search field. At any point you can press thered buttonon your remote to start theKeyword Search. Want to find something on TV, but don't remember how to spell it? No problem. Smart Search knows what you're looking for and can interpret misspellings, nicknames, and more, returning only the results you want. When the title of the program you're looking for appears, you can set the recording options. You can also see detailed cast information, pictures, filmographies, and actor biographies, as well as the upcoming movies and shows they'll appear in. Additionally, you can search for YouTube videos and watch them on your TV screen. The more you use the DIRECTV Smart Search feature, the smarter it gets. It'll save all your recent searches to help you find what you're looking for the next time you use the search function. And Double Play... It's happens to every sports fan: two huge games on at the same time. What to do? DIRECTV has the answer: DoublePlay. It allows you to quickly toggle between any two games that are simultaneously recording. It works for any two shows on any two channels. DoublePlay doubles your enjoyment with a click no matter what you want to watch. Here's how it works: While watching one game, press theDOWN arrowon your remote to start recording it. Press theDOWN arrowagain to select a game on a different channel. You can use theDOWN arrowto toggle between the two programs. You can also pause or rewind either program so you don't miss a minute of the action. When will Cox upgrade their Platform and get these features???3KViews0likes3CommentsAnother Roku request
I was happy to see that Cox has granted access for the Fox Channel. However, I'm still disappointed that networks such as History and A&E are still not available. More and more people are choosing to stream channels, and I think it would behoove Cox to support these educational channels too. Thank you, J^23.7KViews0likes1CommentHD Receiver Fan Noise
Just got Cox subscription, and have an HD receiver that constantly has the fan running whether the box is in standby mode or on. Is there ever a time the fan shuts off? It's annoying from a noise perspective, as well as being a potential energy eater as well even when not using the TV or HD receiver itself. Wondering if this is normal or not, and if it can be avoided.Solved24KViews0likes38CommentsWhy is Cox Communications STILL NOT Connected with the History Channel?
I tried this when the History Channel first came out with their app for the XBOX 360 a long time ago and today I figured that I would give it another try because SURELY Cox has by now linked up with their authentication service. To my true disappointment I noticed this STILL has not been completed and I feel the need to voice my discontent in finding this out. If anyone from Cox actually reads and/or replies to this thread.... (a practice critical to actually running a customer focused company inline with their presumed marketing flubber)... then please briefly explain to us all the following: Why is your customer authentication system not linked up with with theirs yet? If your response to the above question attempts to place the blame on the side of the History Channel then please explain to me how they manage to be connected with every single Cable TV provider in the entire Nation (~50+ providers)? This is evidenced by simply visiting their default Activation/Authentication page located athttp://www.history.com/activate (note: you must select the Roku or XBOX button prior to being able to see that use list of Cable providers) Please further provide us some insights into how many of your other current Channel Content Partners provide online viewing for which you currently have not properly implemented the same Activation/Authentication procedures? Please provide a general timeline in regards to when Cox Customers can expect such implementations to be completed? Although I am sure that the vast majority of remaining Cox subscribers do not use such services, your company needs to recognize that by failing to simply ensure such capabilities are treated as priorities you give people like me (and I am sure many others) just one more reason to look for alternatives out there. Get it together guys! Respectfully submitted, CH27KViews0likes8CommentsION tv
Looking into resubscribing to cox for cable. One thing I've noticed is that some of the channels we watch fairly often will be going away. I'm talking about the ION tv digital channels. We get 4 of them ota, but it looks like cox only carries 1. We get 4 OETA channels ota, and cox offers all of them from what I noticed. Am I just overlooking them, or are they just not being broadcast?? I live in Oklahoma City, Okla.3.5KViews0likes1Comment
