Obviously, COX support does not understand the problem and has no idea what happened. Re: New DRM in Cox OC land? Ok, I'm in Omaha, NE and I have rescanned and it's working again. What I need to know is if this was just a screwup by some COX employee/s or if this was intentional and will get reverted back to DRM! Re: New DRM in Cox OC land? I'm in Omaha and have the same issue, can only view cox channels on my windows media center pc. Looks like COX has set the DRM: 'copy once' flag. Because it's happening in multiple markets I assume it's on purpose but it would be nice to get a confirmation. If it does not get set back I WILL be dropping cable. Re: COX EMAIL HACKED rmalbers said: Eventually this will get to someone in Cox's IT department that actually knows how their computing systems work and they will get this fixed, even if it's someone inside the company doing it. They'll get appropriate traces turned on and find out what's going on. I worked in IT for years and I know that there are very few IT employees who really know what they are doing, most just do assigned tasks and most don't really understand the underlying tech behind what they are doing. When this gets to the attention of a real tech they'll dig thru things, get traces turned on and they'll find out what's going on. Meanwhile, there are plenty of free email providers out there to switch to for any important things you use email for. Also I should add, what gets things like this fixed the quickest, is when it happens to some big shot at the company or one of his friends, that gets things fixed REAL QUICK!Re: COX EMAIL HACKEDEventually this will get to someone in Cox's IT department that actually knows how their computing systems work and they will get this fixed, even if it's someone inside the company doing it. Use a different email provider for important stuff until they figure out were the hole is in their systems.Re: COX EMAIL HACKEDYa, anyone seeing this thread via search, etc., it should be obvious but, DO NOT use your COX email for anything of any importance, switch to another email provider!Re: COX EMAIL HACKEDI had this same thing happen a week or so ago. They did the same thing with the 163 email on my amazon account. I also found that 'they' had put a filter in my cox email settings to route all email from amazon.com directly to the trash folder, so I wasn't seeing what they were doing (right away). The name of the email filter was ' ' (blank) so I didn't see it at first. COX definitely has a security hole or some of their offshore IT employee/s are playing around with customers emails. I moved my amazon stuff to another email system. Anyway, I'm sort of glad to see that others had the same problem, I knew it wasn't something that I did. Amazon will probably have to have COX customers change to another email provider. Just to add, the email they changed acct to in my case was: 'yuan353843fang040@163.com'.
