All of the coax terminates in a box outside the house, which makes powering devices problematic. Many years ago, to resolve a signal issue, Cox replaced a large splitter going to each rooom with a three port splitter, servicing the cable modem, and two televisions. All of the other coax are unconnected. How do I connect MoCA? The coax into the house connects to the modem, but I don't have any other available coax in the room to connect into the coax. I suppose I could have another coax cable run to a splitter in the box outside, but how do I power it? I could split the cable between the wall and the cable modem, but I have the same issue. I'm wondering if my only option is to have something installed professionally, or maybe Cox has equipment that will allow me to do this? Thanks in advance for any assistance. I can get World, Kids, VMe, and Create without any issues. PBS HD is channel 6 on the cable box, 27.1 directly through the TV. It doesn't show up on the TV any more, though. There are no error messages. I know it is transmitting because the cable box has it. It all started last Thursday. PBS HD Transmission Problems Starting on Thursday, 11 Dec, in Sierra Vista, I can only get PBS HD on my Cable box. My TV can't get it, and my cable recorder can't get it. If I go through the cable box, it's fine. Something appears to be screwed up with the transmission of this specific channels. Each of the other PBS channels can be received just fine: PBS Kids, Create, World, and VMe. It's only PBS HD that has an issue. Re: Service quality is very poor It's a DLink DIR-601. Re: Service quality is very poor I have a Moto SB6141. I haven't noticed whether the lights change when the connection times out. I'll have to run in and check the next time it happens. Currently the up and down lights are solid blue and bonded, and the bottom connection icon is flashing, which I'm guessing indicates traffic. No, wait! There isn't one. Google, where are you when we need you? Re: new service disconnects every 45 min I think they do need to credit our service for the last week or so. Service quality is very poor For about a week or so, probably a couple of times an hour, my Internet connection "drops", and I'm left waiting for the resolving host to get data from the Internet. Pages don't load anymore, although after a minute or two I can refresh them. Is Cox doing maintenance or testing and not telling anyone? An email might be nice if that is the case. If not, I would like to get it cleared up as soon as possible. Alternatively, they can credit us a portion of our bill for not delivering quality service. Cox, your choice.
