ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsTV With WiFi Cutting Out I have panoramic WiFi modem "Technicolor" and two 'sandwich-sized" receivers. One receiver is next to the modem and the second in living room perhaps 25 feet away. Having recent troubles with both TV's experiencing "cut-out" where the video and/or audio stops for 2-10 seconds, then resumes. This occurs - too often - with both recorded and live shows. In addition, the fast forward on the living room TV can be VERY slow engage and also. inaccurate: freezes instead of fast forwarding, then either stops early or late. At times, have to go to FF-3 to get it started. Icon shows 2 out of 3 'arches' for signal strength, but has shown that since I received the system over one year ago. The cut-outs began perhaps one month ago. I have sent a signal thru both the receiver and modem - from my computer - with no joy. Any ideas? Thanks. Ax061aei Cable Box/DVR Have two new cable box/DVR's. Very small; about 4 inches square. Main box kept future programs which I had recorded off the previous larger box, although those programs which I had saved are gone. Second box: did not save any future programs. Nothing shown under "Saved" > "Recordings" > "Scheduled", although all future recordings are shown on the main box. Both boxes the same. I tried to record a show which is already scheduled on the main box but it will not allow me to do so. It DOES allow me to records shows which are NOT scheduled to record on the main box: BUT it will not show them as future recordings. Plus, one scheduled recording which just completed was NOT listed under "Saved"/"recording". Anyone understand what I am trying to say? Second box works well but will not display future recordings or allow me to put the red dot next to those shows, but will let me record other shows but, again, not showing up under "scheduled". Re: Discovery Plus Buffering Issue Several months ago, I tried Discovery+ on the Contour 2 set top box - NOT the streaming device. Kept getting buffering every 30 seconds. Tried rebooting at the time but no joy. This did not - never has - with Peacock which admittedly is a free built-in app. Has your problem been resolved? Would resubscribe IF I knew we could watch D+ shows without buffering. Contour Stream Player and Discovery Plus I have a non-smart TV and watch Peacock as it is included in the Contour 2 cable set top box. Months ago, I subscribed to Discovery + as it is compatible with the Contour 2. But, I encountered incessant buffering which made the shows unwatchable. Now I see Cox offers a Contour Streaming Player. IF I resubscribed to the D+ and used the streaming player - on a non-smart TV without a commercial streaming device (Roku, etc) - would I be able to view D+ on my TV without encountering the buffer problem? Discovery+ I subscribed to discovery+ via contour 2 cable box. Experiencing constant intermittent buffering, making it unwatchable. No such problem with Peacock on Contour 2 box. Anyone else having this problem? NBC Peacock Network Just asked about P-150 internet/Peacock Network. I have read that Peacock is also available with Cox Contour-2 set box. is this correct? Internet Video package. I have Cox Preferred 150 Internet. NBC's Peacock Streaming Network requires "internet video package" of at least Essential. Does my P-150 meet the standard? Contour 2 Mini Box I turned on my secondary TV which uses the Cox Contour 2 mini box. I observed that the screen display size was formatted larger than the TV screen itself: parts of the picture was "off the sides" of the TV screen. I chatted with Cox and she set a signal thru which did not change the picture. I was able to resize the picture by changing the video output to 720p from the original 1080p. But, when turning the TV off and then on, it reformatted to 1080p with an indication that the "normal' setting is 1080p and to adjust the video output to the same. Cox rep surmised the problem might be that the mini box is not auto formatting the 1080p to fit my TV's screen size as it did when first installed. Primary TV is set for 1080p and works fine. I do have an appointment with Cox to have a new mini delivered for me to hook up on Monday. Narrows it down to the box? Delete On Demand Movies I have purchased several On Demand Movies on Contour 2. I have viewed them enough and now want to delete them. How can I - or can I at all - delete them so that they do not show under "Purchases"? Stations showing "we are experiencing a problem on our end" notification. Restored by sending a signal. Had at least two channels displaying "we are experiencing problems on our end. Check back in a few minutes". This went on for over 5 hours. Finally decided to send a signal thru the boxes and the station returned immediately. Why would the on screen notification still remain when it might have been a box problem - and could have been cleared much earlier? Thanks!
