Could Cox add an option to Expand All replies within a post?
If I participate in a post and get a notification of a new (unread) reply in said post; clicking the notification icon will go to the new reply but...because I have limited mental capacity...I don't remember the context of the question to prompt the new reply. (I hope this makes sense.)
There are links (Load Next) to "locally" or "relatively" expand the conversation around the new reply but these links are sometimes above or below the new reply and I easily lose my place within the post.
Along with the 3 sort-options at the top of each post (Oldest, Votes, Newest), could Cox add another option to Expand All? This way, with my goldfish-like memory, I could easily scroll upward or downward and not lose my train-of-thought.
+1 on request. It's annoying having to go through threads among threads to find the most recent one.
Thanks...my fellow goldfish!
Just a tip, I use the "vote up" feature to vote up a subject that has gotten particularly hidden from the thread clutter. That way it's on the top and I can just click on it to get back where I was. However having a expand all would be better, so then I can use CTRL+F to find where I was.
Awww...you're just bookmarking my comments?
No, sometime I vote up because it's interesting or funny. However I try not to do that on long threads since too many vote ups on a thread can clutter it too.
+1 to reduce clutter...such as bearone2's comments...but I think the page is coded to limit the "tops" to 3.
I would also like a "request Moderator" button to flag a moderator. I know sometimes none are on staff at a given moment, but it would be helpful when one is.
wouldn't that be nice for you!!!
I kid because I care.
