Bruce is right that it could be cable box’s selected audio format. Try PCM, and then other format options. If still no sound, suggest using an optical cable from the cable box the your soundbar’s optical input, if it has one.
MD is right...keep the audio data PCM (raw). Cable-boxes make horrible streamers as well as horrible sound processors.
