saved content erased

Two days ago I was getting ready to watch a movie I had saved.  Some how ALL my saved content had been erased, not deleted.  I had at least 100 programs saved.  Yesterday I attempted to record  a movie and it seemed to be recording fine.  Today all my recorded movies had vanished!!

  What is the deal??
