LIVE TV Delayed

Your assertion is based on a comparison of the live delays for streamimg and cable TV.   How do you know that the sometimes increase in live delay for cable TV isn't actually due to improvements with streaming that reduced streaming live delay?  If the actual cable TV live delay remained the same, it would appear longer when compared to a reduced streaming delay.  There's no feasible way to know if this is what happened.  But, theoretically, you could be advocating to back-out possible improvement made to streaming in order to increase the live delay back to what it was last season.  Unless you're actually at the game, communicating with someone at the game or somehow managed to sync with a visible time-of-day clock at the game, how can you know what's live?

I have already even through this process with the support team. All my connections are secure. I have power cycled. I have reset. I even went to my local Cox store and noticed their cable feed is also behind the streaming feed. This is not a problem that is unique to my household - please see the response I received from the support team above. 

I'm currently watching Monday Night Football via chromecast from my ESPN app because it's quicker than the cable feed by 10 seconds. 

So if streaming is now AHEAD of Cox cable then what is the reason for any sports fan to keep Cox as their provider? YouTube TV which had a 20-30 second delay compared to my Cox cable feed last season is now ahead of it. So either they have significantly improved their service or Cox has significantly worsened their service. 

You should qualify that to read "... any fantasy sports fan who participates in group chats about live games".

Streaming may sometimes be ahead of cable TV on the channels you watch, but streaming isn't always ahead of cable TV.   See my post yesterday.  The game on Fox had a longer live delay on streaming than it did on cable TV.

I'm curious why you're taking this issue so personally?

This is a problem that exists for others as well. If it doesn't relate to you then please go ahead and move on to another topic.

The fact is Cox cable has significantly lost seconds vs. streaming services in comparison to just a few months ago. If you don't think that's an issue then please boot lick Cox in another thread.

I'm just commenting on your posts, newbie.  It wasn't personal to me, until now.  But I still don't have any personal interest in Cox.

You seem to forget that in addition to cable TV, Cox is most likely also providing your Internet for streaming.  What they are not providing is the feed from the sports content providers.

You must be absolutely miserable to be editing a comment for the last 6+ hours.

This issue never existed. Now it exists. I don't understand why you are frazzled by the idea that Cox can be having service issues. Clearly it has made you upset that someone else isn't happy with their service and I'm just hoping you can sleep well at night.

You can go ahead and use any search tool available to find other complaints online. 

20+ seconds delay is a big deal if you were a sports fan rather than spending most of your time on Cox forums trying to belittle someone else's problem.

Cox does have service issues.  My Internet has been out for most of the night and just came back.  But I'm not whining about it.  Stuff happens.

I was chatting on the phone tonight watching the Braves beat the Dodgers and my friend was in Hawaii watching the same game. My cox feed was 2 minutes behind the live action! How can that be???
