How to watch On Demand version when episode has been recorded

I recorded several different TV episodes where the last half was just the weather maniacs going nuts with airtime showing useless pictures of rain in the dark.  I want to watch the ON DEMAND version ...

Chicago PD episode 21 is one of them.  I think other major network shows in same time slot, too.

    Hi JRR, it appears that episode 21 of Chicago PD is missing from the Contour 2 On Demand library. I'm sorry! This may be why your receiver is pulling the episode from the DVR. I've submitted a ticket so our video On Demand administrators can contact NBC regarding the files for episode 21 of Chicago PD. We'll let you know as soon as the episode is available in the Contour 2 On Demand library. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

      Exact same issue with Designated Survivor, Episode 20 - same date/timeslot as Chicago PD.

        Hi JRR, episode 20 of "Designated Survivor" is available in the Contour 2 On Demand menu. Try the following steps:
        1. Press and hold the blue microphone button on your Contour 2 remote control and say, “Designated Survivor.”
        2. Contour 2 will display a background of the show, with the Episode list already highlighted.
        3. Press the OK button on your remote to open the episode list.
        4. Scroll down to highlight Episode 20 and press the OK button again.
        Note: You may see Episode 20 listed twice; one labeled “On Demand" and the other labeled “DVR”.
        5. Highlight the version of Episode 20 labeled “On Demand". The “Watch” button will highlight.
        6. Press the OK button on your remote to begin watching Episode 20 in On Demand.
